In regards to the newsletter content, I have never thought of it like reinventing a car for each book, but that makes sense. We do have to start from the ground up but we get to keep our tools (writing skills and knowledge!) for each new "car." I can't believe it's been so many wonderful, insightful years of the newsletter! Misfits forever 💙

Having to cancel an entire planned out tour is so sad too. I want to send you a hug. Or several. I'd be screaming into pillows 24/7 by this point but you're working through it like the total badass you are - admiration.
I'll be praying Cricket gets better soon, and that you can cope with All The Stuff; and get some down time as well, because full-time stressing about a kid when they're not well is just exhausting.
I feel this. The way we write every story and even every section of a story demands different things from us. Even if it’s something like how you notice your word count changing when you have writing sessions. Creation is wild.
You know, with this analogy, I’m pretty darn proud of how often I’ve managed to reinvent the car... er, I mean, write new books! 🚙📖
