I'm glad that both Cricket and you are on the mend, even if a bunch of adjustments had to be made... Hopefully your vision will improve once again and not a permanent change after pink eye 🤞🏻🤞🏻

As always, sending loads of hugs, healing vibes and the biggest amount of positive vibes for the rest of 2023 being really kind to you!!

We love you regardless of how often or what you share ❤️ As someone with chronic health struggles/ disability, I am suuuuper familiar with adjusting to a “new normal” and it’s tough.

Also: On the days/weeks when you only have 30% to give and you give 30%, that’s giving 100%. Give yourself the same grace you’d give Cricket.

I'm glad both you and Cricket are doing better! Sorry to hear about the vision troubles; mine went all wonky after my TBI, but it did slowly return to normal. Crossing my fingers it's the same for you, too.

Sending all the healing vibes and crossing my fingers the second half of 2023 is a bit kinder to you!

Sooz! What a horrible time you've been having. Yikes. Sending you so many hugs. We love all of your newsletters no matter how (in?)frequently you write them, so don't worry about us! Ignore The Algorithm!!

Take all the time you need, Susan! Content can always, always wait, and your health (and your family’s) has to come first, I think all subscribers will understand that. I’m so glad you and Cricket are doing better, and I hope the unfortunate events have stopped 💜 I can’t imagine how exhausting all this has been. Please take care of yourself, sending you hugs and good vibes only 💜💜

I'm just glad you and the fam are getting better! Any content you give us, no matter how often or how less, we're grateful for it. I for one am not going anywhere, stay safe and well!

Wow I had no idea Substack also had an algorithm 😵‍💫 duh, why am I surprised. They all want us generating content all the time! It’s an easy whirlpool to get trapped in.

Im glad you’re taking the time and space you need ❤️❤️ whenever you write a newsletter is the perfect time. My algorithm says yay!

Happy to hear that you and the family are on the mend! As others have said — when you give what you have to give, that is enough, even when it doesn't look the way it did a week or a year or three years ago.

(Will also say — as a newsletter reader generally — I am more likely to read the occasional newsletter than ones that come so quickly that I my email is full of "unreads" and I get overwhelmed and feel guilty and then unsubscribe altogether!)

My heart goes out to you, and though I wish you did not have these new normals, I'm glad you are adjusting. I love your newsletter content, and will always read it, no matter if it takes longer to get. Honestly, when posts are more frequent (as the Algorithm likes), I usually find I dont have time to read them all as they come, and they build up in my inbox until I have the downtime to catch up. This is just to say...perhaps less frequent, but still great content is the ideal??

Honestly, less content works for me. You write a lot, and I love chewing on it slowly over morning coffee. Absolutely hype for creative ecosystem post.

These algorithms dont get humans. I read a good point that after a while, readers get burned out and dont read anything. Maybe they switch to books instead of newsletters, heh. You're one of three book people I keep up with via newsletter. Im glad youre on the mend.

So glad to hear you two are on the mend. But now I'm curious - what's the best way to keep up with you?! Continue to take care of you and yours and everything else will follow :) <3

This is still the best!! I’ll still post here! Just maybe not as frequently as 3x/week. Ha! But I’m also on Threads now. ☺️

I mean, 3x is a lot for anyone 😬 my people are lucky if they hear from me once a month 🤣
